From Road House to Road Rash.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) two-division champion Conor McGregor was recently run over by a reckless driver while riding his morning commute, which not only destroyed his bike, but also left “Notorious” mutilated on one side of his body.
Movsar Evloev is not impressed.
“I could have died there man, look!” McGregor said in the post-crash video. “Jesus Christ, I’m lucky to get by with my life. I need a ride home, this bike is screwed. Thank God I’m still here, that’s all that matters.
Something about UFC fighters and two-wheeled transport just doesn’t seem to come to fruition.
“I got hit from behind,” McGregor wrote on social media. “A solar trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight through me. Thank God it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo too. Having an awareness on landing saved my life.
McGregor escaped unscathed, aside from a few scratches (use <- and -> scroll):
This supposed TUF gig was almost over before it started.
McGregor, 34, is expected to return to the Octagon later this year once his Road House responsibilities are completed. No word yet on a potential opponent, but this all-action fighter has been pushing for a “notorious” payday.
Until then, stay in your lane!
