Detroit’s -140 price tag is a satisfying number for the Lions. Especially in a bet. But the Lions will cover the spread, so I prefer to play there and save the juice.
Against the spread

Even if you don’t think the Lions will blow out the Panthers, getting the Lions under a FG is great value.
The Lions are the better team and even if bad weather comes as expected, the running game of Williams and Swift can lead the Lions to this victory. Williams leads the NFL with 14 rushing touchdowns and while the Panthers defense is fine, it’s not great. Detroit’s offensive line has been stellar so far and the Lions will score one way or another.

Detroit’s games are 9-5 against most this season while the Panthers are 6-8 against most. I expect the Lions to control the tempo of this game and that means lots of possessions and lots of points should be in store. Many games have lower totals this weekend due to weather issues. But this game should not be one of them and the number is too low. OVER 43.5 (-110) is my FAVORITE GAME.
