Erin Blanchfield has arrived.
The “Cold Blooded” flyweight blasted his way into the division’s Top 5 by submitting veteran slugger Jessica Andrade as part of the UFC Vegas 69 event on ESPN+ this past weekend (February 18, 2023) at the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, which also earned her a spot on the women’s pound-for-pound list.
Mayra Bueno Silva also caught up with her win over Lina Lansberg.
Here’s how the UFC compiles its official rankings:
The rankings were generated by a voting panel made up of members of the media. Members of the media were asked to vote for who they think are the best fighters in the UFC by weight class and pound for pound. A fighter can only be elected if he is in active status with the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top spots of their respective divisions and are therefore not eligible for weight class voting. However, champions can be elected for pound-for-pound rankings.
Take a look at what the latest rankings champ looks like courtesy of UFC.com. Note: (+/- = movement in rankings, T = tie, *NR = Not previously ranked).
