Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Henry Cejudo earned his nickname “Triple C”.
An Olympic gold medal, titles (and defenses!) in both flyweight and bantamweight in the Octagon – there’s more to Cejudo than a grumpy online persona. However, it has been well over two years since Cejudo last made his way to the UFC Octagon, as he announced his retirement following a May 2020 victory over Dominick Cruz.
It didn’t take long for Cejudo to express his interest in returning from retirement. Recently he joined the USADA test squad, and after UFC 280 it looks like he is the favorite to face champion Aljamain Sterling. Cejudo called for a march battle with “The Funkmaster”, but Sterling asked for more time to prepare.
The other best option for a title shot, Sean O’Malley, has his own theory as to why Cejudo is so eager to return to action. According to a rumor from “Suga”, Cejudo is broke and needs the money!
“I heard from someone close to Henry that he had about $37 in the bank and was literally doing anything to try and book a fight and get the money,” said O’Malley on MMA hour (via Cole Shelton). “I don’t know Henry likes to open the main card, co-main event dude. Even though he and Aljo will fight, it will be a co-main event on a map. I feel like every time we talk about this guy it’s like he’s really coming back? You know? I don’t know, I don’t think about it much.
Now, I have no insider information on Cejudo’s finances or how he spends his money. However, following Cejudo on social media, he is reserved to speak publicly. Additionally, he has earned a serious reputation as a coach, working with top athletes like Jiri Prochazka, Zhang Weili and Deiveson Figueiredo.
Both of these sound like lucrative pursuits, but maybe O’Malley knows best.
If you feel like a lot of UFC main events ended weirdly this year, you’re right!
In UFC history, 13 main events have ended due to unplanned/accidental injury. Four of them were in 2022. #UFCVegas63

A new booking for UFC Seoul:
Internet memes collided at UFC 280.
Chase Sherman is fighting this weekend, but the other “Vanilla Gorilla”, Jason Witt, has announced his retirement from MMA. His fight with Bryan Barberena is awesome!
Andre Fili landed a sponsorship with Harley Davidson!
Is “Platinum” Mike Perry the best prospect in the MMA world against Jake Paul? I would give him a better chance than Nate Diaz!
I don’t know how I’ve never seen this clip, but it’s hilarious.
Slips, tears and KO clips
Rico Verhoeven’s kicks barely seem to chop heads off, but they still hurt!
Experts can break the rules!
Don’t go back unless you’re Jason Morris and ready to launch opps into orbit with a lat whip. Morris is a two-time Olympic/World medalist in judo and a D1 All-American in wrestling and was able to make a lot of judo techniques work without the gi jacket.

Stun him with multiple hard punches then line up a nasty spin kick on an injured opponent – that’s how to do a climax reel!
I remember Se7fr.
