Welcome to Midnight Mania!
It has never been so expensive to follow the events of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern reports that UFC pay-per-view (PPV) events will now cost $5 more, as the price has gone up from $74.99 to $79.99 per event. This is just one year after the previous $5 surge, which took an event from $69.99 to $74.99 currently.
Is ESPN still responsible? Inflation? A disappointing Endeavor share price? However, it remains extremely expensive to follow the sport closely. On average, the promotion hosts one PPV event per month, which means a dedicated fan costs nearly $960 in PPV costs. That’s on top of the cost of ESPN+ itself, which jumped 43% in price earlier this year. If a fan is willing and able to splurge for the annual package, that’s another hundred bucks!
UFC 283 is the first event to charge the new rate. In the headlining contest, Glover Teixeira will face Jamahal Hill for the vacant light heavyweight title, while the co-main event will feature the fourth straight flyweight title fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno.

With some free time between events, expect more blunders than news in the weeks to come.
Even at the urinal, Michael Bisping can’t escape fight fans.

This is called “extreme confidence in your athlete”.
Considering his five-fight UFC winning streak, Andre Muniz deserves to fight in the rankings. However, a fight with Brendan Allen sounds great, so it’s hard to be upset.
Li Jingliang has the moves.
Slips, tears and KO clips
It’s been a long time since I heard Jumabieke Tuerxun’s name, which makes sense since apparently it’s been changed since he joined the UFC in 2014.
We’ve all seen this knockout before, but watch it again. It’s hard to argue there’s been a more perfect streak in MMA this year.
Bas Rutten subduing his opponent with a neck crank from the crucifix is incredible.
