Duke will face NC State on Tuesday night, the same Wolfpack team that beat the Blue Devils, 84-60, at PNC Arena in Raleigh on Jan. 4.

Duke (21-8, 12-6) has won four straight and seven of its last nine to pass NC State in the ACC standings. The Blue Devils beat Virginia Tech, 81-65, at home on Saturday night to avenge an earlier 78-75 loss to the Hokies.
The Blue Devils are 15-0 at home this season. They close out the regular season Saturday night in Chapel Hill against North Carolina.
Duke produced 18 seasons with unbeaten home records. The last time this happened was in 2014.
To avenge the previous loss to the Wolfpack, Duke must face NC State’s top scoring guards, Terquavion Smith (17.6 ppg) and Jarkel Joiner (17 ppg). Smith scored 24 and Joiner 21 in the Duke-NC State opener last month.
Those assignments should fall, primarily, to Duke guards Tyrese Proctor and Jeremy Roach.
Inside, Duke’s 7-1 freshman center Dereck Lively will be asked to slow down NC State’s 6-9 forward DJ Burns, who is averaging 13.1 points and 5.0 rebounds . Lively is No. 13 nationally and No. 1 among freshmen, with 2.3 blocked shots per game.
