Rookie Brody Purdy has taken the NFL by storm since becoming the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers in December.
The former Iowa State standout earned the title of ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ after being drafted by the 49ers with the final pick in the 2022 draft. But, a scouting report sheds light on the level of a team’s interest in drafting the quarterback.
The Athletic obtained a scouting report that discussed Purdy’s positive attributes, as well as some of his potential downsides.
According to the report, a scout said Purdy was “very mature and experienced.” He started for four years during his college football tenure.

The coach who rated Purdy said the 23-year-old’s ability to deal with defensive patterns has contributed to his success.
