UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland will cancel his snowboarding trip in favor of a short-notice light heavyweight bout against Nassourdin Imavov atop the UFC Vegas 67 event this Saturday. night (January 14, 2023) inside APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Strickland has been criticized for his anemic offense in his last two fights, but it looks like ‘Tarzan’ is ready to show off his 205-pound power. Then again, you never really know what’s authentic and what’s a gimmick with the division’s scariest fighter.
“UFC man, they’re good to me,” Strickland told The Schmo. “I like the UFC guys, I like the UFC. As a prostitute, I’m pretty happy. For this fight bro, I trained hard, I’m gonna eat some fucking pizza, I I’m gonna do the fucking man dance, you’re really gonna see that the punch is thrown You might even see a fucking takedown Maybe, if you’re lucky My cardio’s gonna be good, maybe -be he doesn’t go up to five rounds.
Strickland was joined by fellow middleweight Marvin Vettori, who announced their “public” friendship after teasing a bromance in May 2022.
“Now it’s public,” Vettori said. “We were friends, now it’s going to be public. We’re going to be the villains of MMA right now.
Strickland, 31, fell to 25-5 after coming up short against Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 66 last month. The loss was ‘Tarzan’s second in a row, having been taken by Alex Pereira at the UFC 276 pay-per-view (PPV) last summer.
