Faheem Delane, who is 6-foot-2 and 187 pounds, was thrilled to get an offer from Florida State last month. Delane, who hails from Olney (Md.) Good Counsel, is ranked the 41st overall prospect in the Class of 2025 and he has the offers to back up that ranking. The list of schools to offer Delane includes Alabama, Boston College, Cincinnati, LSU, Florida, Maryland, Miami, Minnesota, Mississippi, Ohio State, Oregon, West Virginia, and New York. Penn State.
“Coach Papuchis proposed to me when he came to my school during the recruiting period,” Delane said. “FSU has always been one of my dream schools solely based on their DB culture. I will be visiting FSU the first weekend of March. I think some skills I can bring to FSU are that dog mentality and soccer physics they play.”
Delane doesn’t yet have a date for a spring visit, but it’s in the works, though he’s also competing for his high school track team.
“I can’t wait to meet the coaching staff and see the campus,” Delane said. “I like where Coach Norvell runs the program and I’m interested in being a part of that. Distance isn’t really a big deal, just my parents feel safe to drop me off at any school where I will. My goals outside of football are to do well this track season and maintain an average of 3.0 or better.”
