The Big Ten tournament standings came down to the last game of the regular season. Northwestern could have finished as the No. 2 seed with a win at Rutgers on Sunday night or dropped all the way to No. 9. Such has been the volatility of the Big Ten standings this season.
Of course, Purdue is the No. 1 seed, having won the league by three games while the rest of the conference played for the position.
The tournament begins Wednesday in Chicago.
