The super fight between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski is going to be huge tomorrow night (Saturday February 11, 2023) at UFC 284 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, and it has drawn some of the biggest names in sports at the “Land Down Under”. That includes UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa, who is (literally) causing a stir this week on Australian soil.
Tuivasa, who hails from Sydney, Australia, has made even better friends and memories wherever he goes this week. From fishing with former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira (pictured below) to traditional dancing with the Noongar Nation, “Bam Bam” has left a lasting impression across the city.
Earlier this week, the heavyweight fighter took his skills to the Indian Ocean and decided to do a full backflip from the side of a boat into the water. It was pretty impressive from a fighter the size of Tuivasa and a friendly reminder that “Bam Bam” is perhaps the coolest heavyweight on the UFC roster today.
Check it out below:
Tuivasa, 29, is currently on a two-fight losing skid following knockout losses to Ciryl Gane and Sergei Pavlovich. The Aussie native hasn’t competed on his home soil since a submission loss to Sergey Spivak at UFC 243 in Melbourne. Tuivasa will just be a spectator this weekend for UFC 284, but fight fans should still expect his patented “Shoey.”
