Institute of Higher Studies is a private educational establishment created in 1998 in Tunis in collaboration with the scientific and educational support of the Mercure University Foundation and under the supervision of the European Economic Chamber of Brussels.

Since the introduction of the new law on the private sector higher education in Tunisiathe Institute of Advanced Studies actively sought and obtained accreditation (Approval No. 02-2001 from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technology).

With two branches in Sousse and Sfax, the institute offers identical, quality educational programs. Its founders, made up of academics, businesses and professionals, aspire to create a center of excellence in higher education in the southern Mediterranean region and across the African continent.

IHE. is a comprehensive university offering programs in various areas of business management. Teaching and research activities take place in French, Arabic and English. The institute houses several departments covering accounting, finance, marketing, international business, applied computing, law, languages, tourism and hospitality, all taught at undergraduate, graduate and graduate studies.

Since 2006, the institute has initiated a privileged partnership with the French universities Lyon III and Bordeaux IV for postgraduate diplomas, including the Master CCA (Accounting Control Audit) and the Master Governance of Family Businesses.
